ROCKWOOL also called mineral wool insulation is a rock-based mineral fiber insulation comprised of Basalt rock. The minerals are melted and spun into fibers strands. The strands are captured and compressed into thick, dense mats, which are then cut into convenient-sized batts of insulation. Rockwool insulation is moisture resistant. Rockwool products are inorganic which provide no food source for mold to grow.

Rockwool insulation is available in in batt, board and pipe forms.

Higher insulating value than fiberglass

Rock-wool insulation can be used as same as any other types of building insulation such as XPS or fiberglass or any other type of insulation, including walls, floors, ceilings, attics and crawlspaces.
